E. Gaines Thomas, D.M.D.
Dr. Thomas, a specialist in Pediatric Dentistry, received his D.M.D. degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He completed his residency and received his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the Children's Hospital Department of Pediatric Dentistry in Birmingham, Alabama in 1978. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University in 1972.
Dr. Thomas has been practicing Pediatric Dentistry in Mobile for over 30 years. He has held offices in numerous dental organizations including President of the Mobile Area Dental Society in 2000 and President of the Alabama Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in 1986 and 1999. He served as President of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry Alumni Association in 2004. In 2006, he received the Alabama Dental Association's "Most Excellent Fellow" award and served as President of the Alabama Dental Association in 2010. Dr. Thomas has served on the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry since 2002 and served as President of the Southeastern Society in 2013. He is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Thomas is a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where he has served on the Vestry and as Senior Warden. He served on the St. Paul's Episcopal School Board of Trustees and was Chairman of the Board from 2004-2006. Dr. Thomas and his wife Linda reside in Mobile and have three sons Gaines Jr., Wilson and Carter.
Lauren Moore, D.M.D.
Dr. Moore, a specialist in Pediatric Dentistry, received her D.M.D. degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. She completed her residency and received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the Children’s Hospital Department of Pediatric Dentistry in Birmingham, Alabama in 2007. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Spring Hill College in 1999.
Dr. Moore is an active member of several dental organizations. She has held all offices in the Mobile Area Dental Society, serving as the first female President of the Mobile Area Dental Society in 2017. She is currently serving as Vice President of the Alabama Dental Association (ALDA.)
Dr. Moore is on the Board of Trustees of the Alabama Dental Association as well as the Council on Membership. She has served on and has been the chair of the Council on the New Dentist, for which she received ALDA’s “Outstanding Council Chair Award.” She has also served in the ALDA House of Delegates, has been the chair of the Credentialing Committee, served on the Reference Committee, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Alabama Dental Political Action Committee. She is a Fellow in the International College of Dentists, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Alabama Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
She was also selected as one of Mobile Bay‘s 2014 Class of Forty under Forty.
Dr. Moore is a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church where she is currently serving on the Vestry. She is active in her community and is a member of the Junior League of Mobile and the Mobile Rotary Club. Her greatest accomplishments are her two daughters, Claire-Burton and Kate.

Brooklynn Lynch is 22 years old and works as a dental assistant. In 2013, she graduated from Satsuma High School. After graduating, she attended Faulkner State Community College. She became a Faulkner State cheerleader and was the 2014-2015 Miss Faulkner State. After two years, she received an associates degree in Applied Sciences and transferred to the University of South Alabama for Elementary Education. While attending South Alabama, she became a 2015-2016 USS Alabama Crewmate. She has also worked as a cheer coach and gymnastics instructor. Outside of work, she enjoys teaching gymnastics, judging pageants, and spending time with her family.
Carina graduated from Alma Bryant High School in 2012. She then attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on a soccer scholarship. Carina also has a twin sister named Corina. Her father originated in Mexico where she grew up learning how to speak both Spanish and English. Carina's hobbies are going to the gym, going out to eat and spending time with her family. Carina has always had a passion for working with kids, and she is so thankful to finally have her dream job!
Elizabeth has been involved in the dental field since 2005. She started as a dental assistant before receiving her dental hygienist license through the Alabama Dental Hygiene program in 2012. She is always increasing her knowledge by attending continuing education classes in an effort to give her patients the best care possible. Elizabeth grew up and continues to live in Mobile. She loves to laugh and make others laugh! When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her son, family, and friends. She enjoys shopping and relaxing at the beach. She also likes to spend time contemplating whether to go to the gym or not.
Jennifer has worked with Drs. Thomas and Moore for 18 years. She recieved her Certified Dental Assistant (C.D.A.) degree from Faulkner State. She is active with the Furrever Home Animal Rescue as a foster parent. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, fishing, white water rafting, and going to the beach.
Kayla has been with Drs. Thomas and Moore since 2017. She loves working at a practice where everyone shares such a close relationship with each other. What she adores most about her job is working with kids! Kayla has an identical twin sister named Ashley. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Laureen is a dental assistant and our office coordinator. She moved here in 1995 from northern Virginia but considers Mobile her home! She has been working with Drs. Thomas and Moore for over 20 years. Most of her time is spent going to the gulf. She is married with 6 children and 9 grandchildren. So, yes, she loves working with children! She cannot imagine doing anything else!
Lauren Dickey is a receptionist at Drs. Thomas and Moore's Pediatric Dentistry. She was born in Satsuma, Alabama, where she grew up with her three brothers. Outside of work, she loves photography and playing sports. She played volleyball at Jefferson Davis Community College in Brewton, Alabama. There she met her husband and also graduated with an Associates Degree of Science. In her spare time, she enjoys loving on her two fur babies and spending time with friends.
Penny Sticher is the business office manager. She has worked for Drs. Thomas and Moore for 22 years. Penny is a newly wed! She married her husband, Joel, in October. She has one daughter, Kendall, who will be attending the University of Southern Mississippi in the fall! Go Golden Eagles! She also has two bonus children, Ryan and Haleigh. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family and furbaby, Zoey.
Sandy has worked in the dental field for over 30 years. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama and graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Sandy is married and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. In her spare time, she loves anything water related including kayaking, paddle boarding, hanging out on the water, and collecting seaglass. She also enjoys dabbling in photography.
After working many years in the dental field as a dental hygienist, Shirley found her passion: working with children and making them feel as comfortable as possible in the dental setting. She strives to provide a happy experience for her patients at every visit! She is a graduate of Murphy High School and the Dental Hygiene Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Shirley loves art of all mediums, photography, gardening, and cooking. She also enjoys fishing, kayaking, camping, and spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons: Luke and Wyatt!
Siearra is a Mobile native who loves the Gulf Coast and spending leisure time on the water with her German Shepherd, Molly. She has been licensed by the Alabama board of Cosmetology since 2005 as a managing cosmetologist. She held a full-time position in management as a barber and hair stylist at a local barber shop in Mobile for 9 years.She then decided to make a career change to become a dental assistant. She has been a dental assistant since 2013 and has worked for Drs. Thomas and Moore since 2015. She's currently attending the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham to become a dental hygienist for the practice.
Tonya Leff has worked in the field of dentistry for 26 years and has worked with Drs. Thomas and Moore for 10 of those years. She manages payroll and accounts receivable for the office. She has 2 children and 2 precious grandsons, ages 3 and 6. In her spare time, Tonya loves spending time at the beach in Destin.
