Dr. Alex Ward
DMD
Dr. Ward understands that all children are different, and each child deserves to have their dental needs met with patience and a gentle touch. It is his goal to provide a safe, fun, and judgement-free environment where children and parents alike can be heard and educated on the importance of oral health.
Dr. Alex Ward grew up in Andalusia, Alabama. From a young age, he knew he wanted to be a dentist after watching his father, Dr. Jon Ward, a general dentist practice. Dr. Ward graduated from Auburn University in 2017. While at Auburn, Dr. Ward had the privilege of going a pediatric dental mission trip to Guatemala where he experienced pediatric dentistry firsthand and fell in love with the specialty. He then went on to UAB School of Dentistry where he graduated in 2021. During his time in dental school, Dr. Ward continued to develop his passion for pediatric dentistry and upon graduation, he was awarded the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry award, which is given to the graduating senior who has shown the most aptitude in pediatric dentistry. In 2024, Dr. Ward completed an intensive residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Kentucky where he learned to treat children of all ages, including those with special healthcare needs and children who require the use of sedation or general anesthesia.
Dr. Ward is married to his high school sweetheart, Alli, and they have a very rambunctious cockapoo named Archie. In his free time, he enjoys working out, running, hunting, fishing, and any and all things Auburn football and college football. Dr. Ward and Alli are thrilled to be back home in Alabama and are looking forward to getting involved in the Mobile Community.
